I am fascinated by public space not despite of its ordinary quality but because of it. What may
seem mundane such as the objects placed and events occurred in public spaces is extraordinary
because it is always witnessed collectively and anonymously in specific moments of presence.
As such, I am drawn to create site-specific experiences to reconstruct/deconstruct the process
of encounter, transforming the evident everyday life. I often do so by creating sculptural and
ephemeral pieces that make use of photographic and sonic resources such as repetition,
reproduction, loop and performance.
